CEIVA connected photo frame review

I recently had the opportunity to review the CEIVA connected photo frame and I have many great things to tell you about it. The CEIVA Pro80 is not like any other photo frame that is sold in stores  because of their simplified photo sharing. You can use Facebook, photo sharing sites, and even your regular email to send pictures directly over to your frame in a flash! My favorite way to transfer photos was definitely Facebook but the fact that the photo frame can have it's very own email address is something so unique that I had to mention it!
CEIVA Pro80

The CEIVA connected photo frame has two ways it can connect to the internet. The first way is by the included (and very long) phone wire and the second way (the way I connected it) is by the included wi-fi adapter. I must say the set up wasn't as easy and I had hope but once you get it set up, it's smooth sailing from then on. For those of you who just ruled this frame out because of it's internet hook up, DON'T!! It's still a great gift for those with no internet because you can email photos right to the frame with the phone line!
CEIVAshare
CEIVA currently has two photo frame models available on their webpage. The prices of the frames range from $99.95 to $119.95 and include a year long PicturePlan. After the year, the picture plan can be purchased for $6.95/month. As long as you have an active PicturePlan, you will be covered by a repair/replace lifetime warranty!
One of my favorite things about the CEIVA connected photo frame is the channels that you can have on your frame. You can manage them all at www.ceiva.com with your registered frame. You can get daily new, horoscopes, your local weather and much more sent directly to your frame. You can even create photo greetings for any occasion on their webpage for viewing on your frame.
All in all, I highly recommend this frame to anyone young and old! It's a great way to keep in touch your friends and family in a very easy and unique way.

Mr. Steamy Review

(HSN clip demonstrating the Mr. Steamy)

I will admit that I'm not to greatest person at doing laundry and I certainly wouldn't ever make a career out of it. I am often very forgetful when it comes to doing our family's laundry. I often forget the to add the fabric softener, sometimes even the laundry detergent, but most of all I forget to take my clothes and towels out of the dryer soon after they are done which leads to wrinkly, unwearable clothes.

I choose not to use an iron on my clothes for many reasons. For one, I have children and I can't stand the thought of them getting burned on it if I happen to turn my back for a split second. Also, using such direct high heat tends to ruin and break down my clothing. Lastly, the starched and crispy look and feel of ironing should be left in the 90s where it belongs...

I love the Mr. Steamy that I received for review. It solves 2 of out 3 of my most common laundry mishaps! If I happen to forget my regular fabric softener I can add the Mr. Steamy Fresh Shot fabric softener right into the dryer ball and if I forget my clothes in the dryer, I can add water to the dryer ball and turn the dryer back on for only a short time.

The steam that is produce from the heat from the dryer and the water from the dryer ball is a fast and unique way to release wrinkles inside the dryer without spending hundreds of dollars on a fabric wrinkle remover machine. The Mr. Steamy can be used on all fabric without doing any damage.

When using the Mr. Steamy during your regular drying cycle, you will considerably cut down your dryer time. This is helping when you need to save some money at the laundromat or are looking to decrease the family's energy use inside the home.

There is only one thing that is undesirable when using the Mr. Steamy and that is the banging noise you get from using the dryer balls. It really drives my husband bonkers but personally I like it because I know that when i don't hear them anymore I need to run down to the laundry room and remove the clothes from the dryer. I guess listening to you clothes becoming wrinkle-free while you're living your life with your family isn't so undesirable after all!

To purchase Mr. Steamy, you can hunt them down anywhere As Seen On TV products are sold or you can log on to their website and order them for $19.99 plus S&H.

Step 1 - Add water to Mister Steamy.Step 2 - Toss Mister Steamy in the dryer.Step 3 - As dryer heats up ball steams up!

Carmex Travel Kit Review and Giveaway- Ends November 17th, 2010

Picture taken from couponstl.blogspot.com

Carmex brand has been around for nearly 75 years (1937 was when their lip balm was first invented) and is proven solution for dry and chapped skin so you can imagine my excitement when I was chosen to be part of the Carmex Blog Squad! Throughout the year, I will be able to test out the newest additions to the Carmex line and you can hear all about it first on Bunches of Bargains!

I was sent a very lovely and very large Carmex Travel Kit to sample their entire product line but most of all, to test out their new Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream.

Carmex Healing Lotion & Healing Cream

The new Carmex healing lotion was designed to be use anywhere, everyday for satisfying rich and moisturized skin. It includes Aloe and Vitamin E as ingredients so you can be sure to be nourished for hours after applying.

The new Carmex healing cream was designed to be used on the driest of skin such as elbows, hands, feet and knees. It's concentrated too so just a little goes a long way. You can even apply it on cracked skin and be sure it won't sting. With 9 ingredients to penetrate even the driest of skin, you will notice improvement and relief after just a short time.

Spend just one winter in central New York and you will agree that battling cracked, dry skin and lips is something that is inevitable at times. The frigid, dry air does some pretty extreme damage and I guarantee more than half of us aren't taking care of our skin properly. Carmex is my go to brand when it comes to soothing relief from these nasty winter symptoms. Just one apply of the Carmex healing cream on my elbows (my personal driest body part) and I was impressed! I am most in love with it's scent and non greasy feel.

At $5.99 a bottle, these new healing solutions would be a wonderful stocking stuffer, secret Santa gift or a gift for those hard to shop for.  Just don't forget to pick up some for yourself too!

TuneUp Utilities Review and Giveaway- Ends November 2nd, 2010

    Giveaway is now closed!

    TuneUp Utilities 2010

TuneUp Utilities 2010 is a great resource for novice and professional computer users alike. My husband and I have been using it on your three computers since August and we are very pleased with the features of this computer software. TuneUp utilities is a multi-functional software package that includes a registry cleaner, registry defrag, TuneUp speed optimizer and TuneUp start-up manager.
From the installation right down to everyday maintenance, TuneUp Utilities is simple to use. The program is divided into six clearly defined categories and also includes a 1-click maintenance button. The program will check hardware and software, internet and visual effect aspects of your computer and fix any problems they find. TuneUp utilities gives reports of recommendations of what should be fixed to keep your computer running smooth and also keeps statistics of all changes that have been made. For example, on my husbands laptop (which I'm am currently using), TuneUp Utilities has fixed 709 registry problems and freed up almost 7,000 MB of disk space. Speaking with my husband who is highly educated in computers, our regular operating systems such as Windows Vista and Windows 7 do not fix these types of problems on their own. You would need to find the problems all on your own and fix them yourself.
HUH??? I'm lost, are you? This is what I love about TuneUp Utilities. I don't have to be a computer genius to have my computer running great. If I didn't have my husband to help me with my computer issues I would have gone through thousands of dollars replacing computer after computer because they just are working as well as when they were first purchased! This software makes it so you don't have to get rid of your computer so soon or hire someone to optimize it's performance every 6 months.
Another really neat feature is the TuneUp shredder. Did you know that when you try to delete a file from your recycling bin that it's still on your hard drive? Consider all the personal information that is still on all those computers that people sell on Craigslist and give away on Freecycle! Scary stuff right? TuneUp shredder is an added feature right on your recycling bin that ensures your files are in fact permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
TuneUp Utilities is highly recommending by my husband and I and can be purchased for $49.95. This software can be used on up to three computers! To try before you buy you can download the full version and try it absolutely free for 15 days.

Hibiclens Review Review and Giveaway- Ends November 2nd, 2010

      Giveaway is now closed!

      Hibistat & Hibiclens

      Product:
      ·         Hibiclens® is an antiseptic antimicrobial skin cleanser that contains 4 percent chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG).  CHG is not absorbed through the skin, instead it bonds to it and actively kills germs for up to six hours without leaving a residue.  Hibiclens is gentle, used with water and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  It kills the 2009 H1N1 virus strain and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

      ·         Hibistat®  is an individually-wrapped wipe that contains 70 percent isopropyl alcohol and 0.5 percent chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) and is used without water.  It has the same ability to kill germs as Hibiclens, yet is portable (think backpack, sports bag, purse).

      Why Antimicrobial:
      ·         Antimicrobial washes and wipes are different than soap and water and even antibacterial soaps because they are able to kill bacteria, fungus and viruses.  In contact sports, skin infections caused by all three of these are a common occurrence and can start as a scratch, pimple or “spider bite.”

      One Mom’s Story:
      ·         Luke Ferrill, an Indiana 16-year-old, emerged from a high school football game with a scratch on his forearm.  The scratch wouldn’t heal and a few months later he was diagnosed with impetigo, a common, contagious skin rash.  Soon, a red pimple-like bump appeared on his thigh and he was finally diagnosed with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), an antibiotic-resistant form of Staph that can cause serious skin infection and serious health complications.

      ·         Within nine months of the turf burn, Luke was unable to walk and was awake only an hour a day.  Through the dedication of his family and doctors, he was given antibiotics, vitamins and antiseptics and eventually was back on his feet for his senior year.

      ·         “Clearly, the priority for moms of active kids is prevention,” said Charlotte Ferrill.  “During Luke’s MRSA ordeal, we learned about Hibiclens®, an antimicrobial wash that Luke used, and it helped prevent spreading the infection to the entire family.”  The Ferrills still use it today.

      What Parents Can Do:
To help your child athlete avoid MRSA, follow these strategies:

      1. Throughout the day, wash hands with antimicrobial antiseptic soap, such as Hibiclens®, which kills germs on contact and for up to six hours after washing.
      2. Wash hands and forearms above the elbow immediately before and after sports activities using an antimicrobial wash or wipe, such as Hibiclens soap or Hibistat® wipes.
      3. Shower immediately after sports activity in hot water with an antimicrobial cleaner.
      4. Clean sports equipment after use and ensure it is dry after cleaning.  Use antimicrobial wipes or sprays on equipment that cannot be washed.
      5. Keep wounds covered with clean, dry bandages.  Have them checked by a doctor if they are red or won’t heal or if flu like symptoms develop (fever).
      6. Use a clean towel and don’t share towels or clothing with others.
      7. Put dirty clothes and towels in a separate bag, not in backpacks or sports bags with clean clothing.
      8. Wash and dry clothes and towels on the hottest setting possible.  Make sure everything is completely dry before removing from the dryer.
(This was taken directly from the PR email that was sent to me. I take no credit for writing this information).

      My Review:
My kids are generally pretty safe year round but they get the occassional scrape. I have to admit I had Hibiclens in my medicine cabinet for 2 months before I ended up really needing to grab it for a kitty scratch on my son. We both loved it! My 2 year old son loved it because it didn't sting and burn and mommy loved it because it cleans and disinfects without causing any addition pain to my babies. It wasn't until I finished washing his scratch that I actually took the time to read the bottle. It's not just for boo boos. It's an antimicrobial skin cleanser which means we can use it everyday to prevent spreading bacteria infections such as H1N1, E Coli and Staph infections. I have to say I was very impressed with how well it works and stays working. It kills germs for up to 6 hours after using it! As for the wipes Hibiclens sells, they are super awesome for the diaper bag. No spills and messes to clean up!

For a chance to win a 4 ounce bottle of Hibiclens and five wipes of Hibistat and a $1 coupon for both, please complete the following entries
